It is never easy when a loved one leaves this life. I am thankful that Dave was able to enrich your life and that you were able to enrich his. I am thankful that you were able to bring him out for Christmas and that we, perhaps, were able to make the holiday a little brighter for him. Although I am sorry for the pain his passing causes you & Melissa and the life experiences that he missed out on, I am grateful that the suffering he experienced in this life has come to an end.

Your other friends are totally right in that Dave was extremely lucky to have such a thoughtful and caring friend, and we are lucky as well to have you as our friend. It's a good thing he had you to take care of him and keep his spirits up. I'm sure he appreciated everything you did for him.

After a rough life, his suffering is at an end. I'm glad you were there to make things better for him. RIP Dave...

He will be missed by all his friends...those near and those far. I wish I was able to get out to visit him one last time. My thoughts will be of him for a long time.
